End of 2013 - Being Grateful and All

At last, we're here, the end of mesmerizing 2013.

The hardest year, the grateful year, the year of self findings.

2013 is the time when we realize that a stranger once we've met at a coffee place and at that time we only gave an uninterested gaze at her odd gestures, funny hat and ugly dress, done this very much unpleasant damaging act to us, while the other strangers being their best as our amazing saviour. 

And we're grateful for that.

And most of all, this year is when once again proven that family never fail us, when some of the best of friends stay and some of them gone to fulfilled their true self as a faker. 

And we're grateful for that.

Nevertheless, this year was given to us as a confirmation of our humanity and being the best of it.

And we're grateful for that.

We've been thru sooo many things this year, unexpected, lowest point, bounce back, trembling, shaky, but end up in stronger side of our life phase. 

All year long.

I will always remember the topsy-turvy of 2013, keep it in my deepest corner of my heart, 

and being grateful for it.

Among #JHouse First Guests

What's a house without warmth?


Last weekend, we invited some of our BFFs to the #JHouse.
Actually it's not too easy for me to decide who the special (among the firsts) guest(s) would be since the house itself is still in the state of chaotic situation. The person should be one of my closests who understand me more than my own Mom (sigh yeah I know)

And after I put names on my imaginary list, there's only few that I feel like inviting over to have simple lunch and talk. Then I chose Iza since we're chatting like crazy for the last couple of weeks over some matters.

Then Iwan also invited one of his BFFs over and Oncel came up on our list since Iza and Oncel been friends since forever.

So, we had this great lunch and talk...

Beberes Rumah: Asal Usul

Sebagai seorang arsitek saya tertantang untuk mengerjakan beberapa pekerjaan menyangkut bangunan dengan tangan saya sendiri. Selalu tertarik melihat tukang mempersiapkan adukan semen, memotong kayu, las besi,dan lainnya.

Kebetulan kami baru saja menyelesaikan pembangunan rumah dengan dinding yang dibiarkan unfinished, tanpa cat.
Saya berencana untuk mengecatnya sendiri, dengan bantuan suami dan keluarga saja. Anak-anak boleh ikut tentunya,

Hari Minggu yang lalu rencana itu setengahnya terlaksana, ya setengah karena...hujan!  Dinding yang selesai dicat baru setengah dari rencana semula. Sampai hari ini kami belum meneruskan karena kesibukan sehari-hari. rencananya akan dilanjutkan pada weekend berikut. Doakan saja ;-)

Saat itu saya berinisiatif untuk membuat live tweet dari proses pengecatan dinding tersebut dan posting di account twitter saya: @uberfunk.
Ternyata saya mendapat beberapa tanggapan yang menyenangkan, bahkan ada yang bertanya soal lantai segala (melebar Susi!), Dari sini saya beride lagi untuk membuatnya menjadi sebuah blog supaya bisa terekam dengan lebih baik dan berbagi dengan orang lain yang membutuhkan tips dan trik dalam "beberes rumah".
